Solution:Avoid so-called codec packs. It is recommended to install each codec separately. Scan your system and download all the selected audio / video codecs.
There is no sound in RMVB files.
Solution: The problem is Real Player which has its own codecs making mess in the system. The best thing to do is to uninstall Real Player - then reinstall the latest Real Alternative package manually by checking the entry in LiveUpdate advanced and it should work.
I cannot open some of WMV files.
Solution: Some HD files require Video EVR Output - click on the panel on "Filters" -> "Video Output" -> "EVR"
You can't hear the dialogues / all loudspeakers don't play
Solution: Go to sound settings in the AC3Filter:
1. First, check how many channels are in your movie file - (1) - shows that the sound is on all 6 channels, that is OK. 2. Set in output format AS IS (2) 3. If you have your computer connected to an amplifier with digital or optical connection, select "SPDIF". Sound will not be processed on the computer, but will be directly sent to your amplifier. It much improves the quality of sound - (3)
If you do not have the Audio 5.1, but stereo, you have to set output format to: 2/0 stereo - (1), It would set the sounds like dialogues to the paths that your equipment is able to play. If you don't do that, many of the sounds of the channels which you don't have (eg sounds of rear loudspeakers or dialogues) won't be heard or will be scarcely audible.
The message pops up "File Not Found: iconv.dll"
Solution: To resolve this problem you must reinstall the AC3 Filter codec (use LiveUpdate when it comes from there or has been installed together with ALLPlayer or uninstall and reinstall ALLPlayer; or using AC3 Filter setup file if it was installed manually with a separate installation file).
