Solution: Avoid so-called codec packs. It is recommended to install each codec separately. Scan your system and download all the selected audio/video codecs. |

You can't hear the dialogues/none of the loudspeakers play |
|
|
|
|
Solution: Go to sound settings in the AC3Filter (in version 5.0 filters are also in context menu):
 1. First, check how many channels are in your movie file - (1) - shows that the sound is on all 6 channels; that is OK. 2. Set AS IS (2) in output format. 3. If you have your computer connected to an amplifier with digital or optical connection, select "SPDIF". The sound will not be processed through the computer, but will be sent directly to your amplifier. It greatly improves the quality of sound - (3)

If you do not have Audio 5.1, but stereo instead, you should set the output format to: 2/0 stereo - (1) which will set the sound, like dialogue, to the paths that your equipment is able to play. If you don't do this, many of the sounds corresponding to the channels which you don't have (eg sounds of rear loudspeakers or dialogue) won't be heard or will be scarcely audible.

Solution: To resolve this problem you must reinstall the AC3 Filter codec (use LiveUpdate if it comes from there or has been installed together with ALLPlayer, or else uninstall and reinstall ALLPlayer; or use AC3 Filter setup file if it was installed manually with a separate installation file).

Solution: The problem is Real Player whose own codecs are making a mess in the system. The best thing to do is uninstall Real Player - then reinstall the latest Real Alternative package manually by checking the entry in LiveUpdate advanced and it should work.

Solution: You should check the EVR filter settings first:
Make sure the image has not been moved and has been extended to the whole field preview, it should look like this:

If the settings are correct and the picture is still displayed only on part of the screen and you have a GeForce graphics card (nVidia), go to the NVIDIA Control Panel -> 3D Settings -> Adjust picture and select "Use the 3D application setting" (be sure to confirm with "Apply settings" button).

How do I switch to another soundtrack |
|

Solution: Some movies have several audio tracks, with multiple subtitles versions. Sometimes in the file name it is described as a "Dual Audio" or similarly. From ALLPlayer 3.4 and above you can easily switch to other language version:

Solution: The problem is with the wrong video output settings. For Windows XP please select the output "overlay mixer". For Windows Vista or Windows 7 please select the output "EVR".
